Details: TROIS C-L has announced details of Les Emergences, a new programme aimed at emerging dance choreographers in Luxembourg.
In addition to financial support, TROIS C-L will oversee all selected artists throughout the process of creation in their particular domain offering theoretical and practical workshops. The programme will also benefit arts management, administrative, technical and communication skills.
In continuation of the "Create your future" initiative launched in 2013 in collaboration with the Luxembourg Agency forCultural Action (ALAC), TROIS C-L aims to both encourage the professionalisation of young creators and give them the tools necessary for the proper management of their production.
In the ong term, TROIS C-L also aims to establish Les Emergences as a national and international distribution platform by sharing participating artists of its vast professional network.
The aid package is intended for choreographers with less than five professional creations to their credit. On submission of an application, the artist beneficiaries of this programme are chosen by a selection panel, composed of professional dancers from Luxembourg and the Greater Region.
The selected choreographers will receive support of up to €6,000 for the creation of their production.
And, in addition to this guidance, the TROIS C-L is working with a photographer and a professional videographer will accompany the artists during their creations. At the end of the programme, they will not only have theoretical knowledge of managing a production, but also have a portfolio of photos and professional videos, constituting an important tool for the promotion of their work in the future.
The presentation of creations carried out with the financial, logistical and theoretical support of the TROIS C-L, will be presented at eight public evenings from 23 to 26 April and from 19 to 22 November 2015 at the Banannefabrik (12 rue du Puits, L-2355 Luxembourg-Bonnevoie). Furthermore, as part of a new partnership with the Cercle Cité, choreographers will be invited to participate in two evening performances.
