Details: The Impactory will be hosting an event entitled "Creative Writing Workshop: Write For Your Dreams" on Saturday, 8 November and Saturday 29 November, from 14:00 - 17:00 both days.

Over two Saturday workshops, participants will generate many story ideas that they can develop over time. They will be given guidance on killing their inner critic, getting their thoughts down on paper, and some structure on how to write, writing styles, and honing in on finding their voice. They will also learn how to self-publish and by the end of the workshop, an anthology of short stories will be published.

This course is conducted over two three-hour sessions. The first session will be on 8 November at 14:00. By the end of this session, participants will take home one idea which they will nurture and work on and we will meet again in three weeks on 29 November to wrap it all up and get all the stories into an online anthology and publish it online. During the three weeks, they will have the opportunity to communicate via email with their course instructor.

The Course instructor, Shamala Hinrichsen, has published a collection of short stories and also co-authored a series of children's bilingual books. She is currently working on her novel and also consults the Luxembourgish government on web communications. A geneticist by training, she limits her experiments to her writing and kitchen these days.
