Details: The findings of a comprehensive piece of research analysing the initial impact of the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) on the structure of Europe’s alternative fund industry are to be discussed at an event hosted by Crestbridge in Luxembourg in October.

Following on from the AIFMD implementation deadline on 22 July, the research, which has been compiled by IFI Global and sponsored by Crestbridge, is intended to highlight some of the key domiciliation issues and initial trends which the AIFMD has brought to the European fund market, including:

• The impact on fund servicing, including depositary requirements

• The impact of AIFM Management Companies (‘ManCos’)

• The impact of AIFMD on risk management and fund governance

• Changes in the structure of Europe’s alternative fund industry as a result of the AIFMD

Daniela Klasen-Martin, Managing Director of Crestbridge in Luxembourg, will provide a welcome at the invitation only event, which will take place on 2 October 2014 at the Abbaye De Neumunster.

An overview of the research will then be given by Simon Osborn, Managing Director of IFI Global, before a panel, overseen by an independent moderator and featuring senior players in the European funds landscape, will then debate the findings and answer questions from the audience, followed by a drinks reception.
