Details: The International Coaching Federation (ICF) is to hold a conference on Monday 22 September 2014 from 18:30 on the topic of Communication in an Intercultural Environment, at BGL BNP Paribas (5th floor – Salles des Pas Perdues, 10 rue Edward Steichen, Kirchberg).
The event will be followed by a networking cocktail sponsored by BGL BNP Paribas.
The event will be of interest to coaches and non-coaches alike, and of particular interest to those who are going through mergers and organisational changes.
Speakers are from diverse backgrounds with different perspectives and extensive hands-on experience.
Fabienne Dasnoy: Diversity Manager BGL BNP Paribas with extensive hands-on practice, will talk about real corporate experiences and challenges in the world of banking. Luxembourg has a huge mix of cultures and 'frontaliers' from Belgium, France, and Germany, and when combined with a takeover of multinational companies creates unusual challenges. Fabienne will speak in particular to these challenges and successes.
Anne Marie Theisen: Coach, Consultant, Trainer-ACORD INTERNATIONAL S.A. will introduce a concept - Geert Hofstede's dimensions of culture - which will add a theoretical element to the evening. This concept will clarify why cultural misunderstandings exist and to what extent our own frame of reference contributes to create stereotypes and possible prejudices.
