The Gesellschaft fir Musiktherapie zu Lëtzebuerg (GML) was created on 14 March 2004 at the initiative of a few music therapists and others interested in music therapy. Its goal is the promotion and recognition of music therapy in Luxembourg.
To do this, it proposes in particular to: disseminate information on music therapy, on training, on the field of action, promote exchanges between music therapists and interdisciplinary exchanges, organise conferences and study days, work with national and international organisations and support and promote research projects.
The Luxembourg association is a member of the European Music Therapy Confederation (EMTC) since 2006 and is represented by a Luxembourg delegate, thus completing the commitment of the association at the international level.
Representatives from 28 European countries will be in the Grand Duchy to attend this meeting. Presenters of international fame will talk with examples in the areas of research and practice.
