Details: On Wednesday 2 October at 19:00, the second Science Slam will take place at the Casino Contemporary Art Forum (41, rue Notre-Dame, Luxembourg-City).
The event is organised by LuxDoc, Luxembourg’s young PhD students association, with the financial support of the National Research Fund (FNR) and the University of Luxembourg.
Based on the traditional poetry slam model, the idea of the Science Slam is to give young researchers the opportunity to present their work in the form of an artistic performance. Within the framework of the 10th anniversary of the University of Luxembourg, the slammers will each have ten minutes to present their work to the audience. This could be by singing, dancing, drawing or by interpreting a theatrical piece. The objective is to illustrate their research project in a fun and easily understandable manner.
The Science Slam hopes to demonstrate the richness and diversity of research in Luxembourg to the general public. The evening will close with drinks and a buffet where participants will have the opportunity to talk to the researchers about their work.
