The European Parliament Liaison Office in Luxembourg will host a free upcycling event will take place on Friday 19 June 2026, at the premises of Wecitizens and Europe Direct Luxembourg Ville (8 Rue de Bonnevoie) in Luxembourg-Gare.
According to the organisers, the event will see donated waste materials transformed into meaningful art pieces through creativity and collaboration.
The event is organised by EUROPE DIRECT Luxembourg-Ville, in collaboration with the European Parliament Liaison Office in Luxembourg, the European Commission Representation in Luxembourg, the European Climate Pact Ambassadors in Luxembourg, the European Documentation Centre of Differdange, the City of Differdange and Clean Something for Nothing.
The workshop will run from 17:00 to 20:30 and will feature contributions from Anne Calteux, Head of the European Commission Representation in Luxembourg, Tilly Metz, Member of the European Parliament, Climate Pact Ambassadors and the Head of the Ecological Department of Ville de Differdange.
All materials used during the workshop come directly from participants' contributions and the artworks created during the workshop will later be showcased in an exhibition at Europa Experience in Luxembourg-Kirchberg.
In describing the event, the organisers said: “Together, we will explore how creativity can support sustainability and learn more about the European Union's ambitions for a circular economy while actively contributing to positive change.”
The workshop will take place in English and participation is free. However, registration is required.
