The Centre des Arts Pluriels Ettelbruck (CAPE) has unveiled a diverse programme for its 2025/2026 season, which also celebrates the venue's 25th anniversary.

CAPE will stage Shakespeare Meets Purcell, a dialogue between William Shakespeare and Henry Purcell, featuring German narration and English singing, on Sunday 5 October 2025 at 17:00.

Synopsis: A dream that has survived the centuries: in 1595, William Shakespeare wrote A Midsummer Night's Dream. This play about deception, love and magic continues to captivate audiences to this day. Almost 100 years later, in 1692, Henry Purcell composed his baroque opera The Fairy Queen - an adaptation of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Nora Koenig brings magical moments from the story to life, while singers Véronique Nosbaum and Lilith Verhelst, along with the cantoLX ensemble, provide the appropriate music for dreams and masques.

This event is part of the Music & Wine series combining "exclusive tastings" and "exceptional concerts".
