Details:

SCynergy 2025, a European forum dedicated to highperformance computing (HPC), artificial intelligence (AI) and quantum computing, will take place at the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce on Monday 28 and Tuesday 29 April 2025, in the presence of Prince Guillaume, Hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg.

This "first-of-its-kind" event will bring together research, business and policy stakeholders to explore practical applications, share knowledge and establish collaborations that are expected to shape the future of these technologies in Europe.

Following on from the Supercomputing Days of previous years, SCynergy 2025 has been created to address "a crucial need for cohesion" within the HPC ecosystem. As such, it simultaneously targets researchers, economic and political decision-makers and end users, regardless of their sector of activity, and whether it is technological or not. By interconnecting these often fragmented communities, SCynergy aims to break down silos and align "the essential contributions" of each of the stakeholders to collectively shape the evolution of these technologies and their applications, at all levels of use.

Organised by Supercomputing Luxembourg, with the support of EuroHPC JU, WeStem+ and Women in HPC, this event will feature various speeches and market analyses, strategic networking sessions and practical examples. A dozen practical workshops targeting industry professionals will also be organised, bringing together the technological and non-technological worlds.

The main focus will be on highlighting the importance of the interaction between HPC, AI and quantum computing, not only as parallel technologies, but as an evolving ecosystem, to help solve real-world challenges in sectors such as healthcare, finance and industry.

SCynergy 2025 will also be an opportunity to present in detail the new Luxembourg AI Factory, networked with similar initiatives in six other European Union countries under the umbrella of EuroHPC. This "robust" and "interconnected" network of AI hubs will act as a one-stop-shop for startups, SMEs and researchers, who Supercomputing Luxembourg explained will benefit from comprehensive support, including access to AI-optimised supercomputers.
