Pancake Day or Shrove Tuesday is celebrated on Tuesday 4 March 2025. Pancake Day is celebrated each year, on the day before the Christian season of Lent begins (Ash Wednesday). Pancakes were traditionally consumed on this day to use up butter and eggs that could not be eaten during Lent's 40 days of fast and abstinence.
