Details: Rockhal is organising the annual Screaming Fields music festival on Saturday 6 July 2013 from 16:30 (doors open 16:00).
The line-up includes Impact Hour (Lycée Ermesinde), Fedelux (International School of Luxembourg), District 7 (Lycée de Garçons Esch/Alzette), Tuys (Lycée Nic Biever), Acoustic Message (Lycée Aline Mayrisch), Soulhenge (Lycée Classique de Diekirch), Awakening the Seasons (Lycée Technique Mathias Adam), Blood To Prove (Lycée Technique Privé Emile Metz), The Neverminds (Lycée Technique de Lallange), Why We Failed (Lycée de Garçons Luxembourg) and Behold Suffer (Jugendhaus Mamer).
Since its first edition in 2010, the Screaming Fields festival has become an annual platform for young and talented bands and musicians from different schools and youth centres around Luxembourg.
11 groups have been selected and get the opportunity to perform at the Rockhal Club following a month of online voting and the selection of a jury of three experienced musicians from the local scene.
Throughout the month of June, the staff at Rockhal (M & R Rockhal) will accompany all 11 groups during a rehearsal stage "in situ" at the Rockhal Club. This scenario will allow groups to better prepare for their concert, become familiar with the environment in a professional location and feel comfortable on a big stage.
At the festival, the 11 candidates will have the chance to win one or more prizes offered by the Resource Centre of Rockhal and partners of the event: free tickets to Rock Tools 4 for the winners - workshops and masterclasses for rock instruments (M & R Rockhal), best live performance (SNJ, Music Festival Dudelange, M & R Rockhal) best composition (SACEM Luxembourg), best promotion (Jonk Entrepreneuren, M & R Rockhal), Coup de Coeur (ING, Young & Smart, M & R Rockhal).
