Details: The 673rd Schueberfouer fun-fair takes place from Friday 23 August to Wednesday 11 September 2013 at the Place du Glacis in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg.
The Schueberfouer is the biggest funfair in Luxembourg and the Greater Region attracting over 2 million visitors every year.
A unique mix of 200 funfair attractions, with 25 major rides, over 12 children's rides, a dozen restaurants, numerous snacks and take-outs, lotteries and shooting galleries, duck fishing, almost 100 street vendors, and showmen from over 6 different nations turn the Schueberfouer into a popular event "par excellence", where people, eat, drink and enjoy themselves.
Don't forget to taste the typical luxembourgish "Gromperkichelcher" (fried potato cakes) or "gebakene Fësch" (baked fish) or the famous waffles with cream and strawberries between rides and attractions.
This year, a completely new rollercoaster will, among other top novelties, be present for the first time at the Schueberfouer...
The opening hours of the fair will be daily from Sunday to Thursday from 11:00 until 01:00. On Fridays and Saturdays the Schueberfouer will have a “nuit blance”, meaning it will remain open until 02:00.
There will also be few special events during the Schuberfouer:
- Friday 23 August: The official opening at 17:00,
- Tuesday 27 August: Journée des Bourgmestres at 17:00,
- Wednesday 28 August: Family day of the fair with special reductions all day long,
- Thursday 29 August: Journée des Reines at 17:00,
- Monday 2 September: Braderie,
- Thursday 5 September: Biergerdag, and
- Wednesday 11 September: the final day of fair with price reductions from 11:00 until 20:00.
