Details:

Luxembourg-based artists' collective MASKéNADA is organising the multilingual lecture performance "Ouni Kapp" (without a head) in Bergem (Monderange) on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 September 2022, both days at 11:30.

These performances form part of the "E roude Fuedem duerch de roude Buedem" (a red thread through the red soil) project within the framework of the Esch2022 - European Capital of Culture programme.

Synopsis

The whispers of a headless woman creep through the neighbourhood. What is behind it? This lecture performance by young writers from the MASKéNADA collective portrays intimate portraits of local figures, who are marked by insecurity, curiosity, anger and madness. With groundbreaking texts, the facets of identity, sexuality and gender are represented and challenged, in four languages. So be careful, otherwise you might lose your head...

This lecture performance is suitable for anyone aged fourteen and up and will be delivered in French (by Antoine Pohu), German (Sandy Heep), Luxembourgish (Cosimo Suglia) and English (Fernando Da Mota Martins) under the direction of Daliah Kentges. The event is also wheelchair accessible. Tickets are available free of charge at: https://www.maskenada.lu/ouni-kapp.html

This event is also taking place as part of the "pop-up village", located at the "Beim Nëssert" cultural centre, of the municipality of Mondercange.

Following the lecture performance, guests can enjoy an aperitif / small snack on site. The event will also be followed by the "M22:Remix Nëssert" music and street art festival, featuring acts such as Aramelo, Léa Bastien, Seed to Tree, Foreigners, Porcapizza, The Disliked, Top Fanfare and DJ Duke.
