The Syrkus cultural centre in Roodt-sur-Syre will be hosting a St Patrick's Day event on Thursday 17 March 2022 from 19:00 - 22:00 (doors open 18:00).
Celebrating St Patrick's Day has become a tradition over the past number of years at the Syrkus venue, with a great concert, Irish beer and traditional food. Those attending will experience a high-quality evening, immersing oneself in Irish tradition with performances by two Irish bands.
The Killkennys: This well-known Irish band is known for their dynamic and energetic performances around the world. Following in the footsteps of bands such as The Dubliners and The Clancy Brothers, the quartet toured Europe and the United States. In recent years The Kilkennys have shared the stage with renowned Irish artists such as Shane McGowan, Sharron and Shannon and Finbar Furey.
Na Leanai: This dynamic new band has taken the folk scene by storm, garnering widespread interest from local and national media with rave reviews from their gigs at top concert venues across Ireland, the UK and Europe. Raised in a folk tradition, this group of first cousins has an impressive pedigree, being the daughters and sons of County Down's first folk family, The Sands Family.
