Details:

The fourth edition of Smart Manufacturing Week, organised on the initiative of Luxinnovation, is taking place from 17 to 19 November 2021.

The event will provide an opportunity to take stock of best practice in the digital and ecological transformation of industry.

The online opening session will look at the digital landscape in the Grand Duchy, particularly the Digital Innovation Hub, the national high performance computer, the European data infrastructure initiative GAIA-X and e-DIH, the European network of Digital Innovation Hubs. Luxembourg's Minister of the Economy, Franz Fayot, will give the opening speech.

On Wednesday afternoon, a phygital event is being held in Esch-Belval. On this occasion, the figures of the first-ever mapping of Luxembourg’s manufacturing sector will be presented. A round table discussion with representatives of the Ministry of Economy and some companies will focus on the different challenges that companies are facing. This session will end with the awarding of the 2021 PropdPilot Grand Prix, which rewards the companies in the Greater Region that have been the most innovative in terms of improving their productivity.

The programme of the remaining two days will be exclusively dedicated to testimonies of companies that have initiated "smart" transformations of their processes and adopted sustainable economy technologies.
