Luxembourg non-profit Women in Digital Empowerment (WIDE) is organising the closing event of its "Gender4STEM in Action" programme on Thursday 21 October 2021 at Lycée Aline Mayrisch in Luxembourg City, from 15:00 to 17:00. 

This conference will give teachers, educators and professionals the opportunity to learn more about improving gender equality in teaching STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) subjects in schools.

Programme

  • Keynotes by Camilla Hurst (Oxford University), Valérie Maquil (LIST) and Claire Lee (Fermilab) as women in STEM;
  • Testimonials from secondary school teachers involved in the project;
  • Release of WIDE's guide for best practices for gender equality in STEM teaching, designed with the contribution of teachers in Luxembourg.

This closing event is organised in partnership with the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) and with the support of Digital Luxembourg, the SCRIPT service of Luxembourg's Ministry of Education, Children and Youth and the National Research Fund (FNR), which supported the realisation of the workshops and training throughout the project.
