In the week of 24 August 2015, the Luxembourg School of Business (LSB) has received a group of students from Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan (USA) for a ten-day study trip to Luxembourg.

During the study trip, the students are visiting various companies in Luxembourg and learn about the Grand-Duchy’s culture, history and tradition. Among the companies the students are visiting are SES, PwC, the Freeport, Ferrero and LuxPET. They will also have a chance to visit institutions such as the Parliament (Chambre des Députés), the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) and the National Museum of Art and History.
The goal of the Study Trip is also for students to get an understanding of the country’s economic situation and an idea of its potential in a global economy. The student group is composed of professionals currently enrolled in the Weekend-MBA Program of Ross School of Business (ranked as one of the top business schools in the world by FT). In one of many organized excursions, the American guests will explore the beautiful Mullerthal valley as well as the vineyards flanking the Moselle river.

In this year, the Luxembourg School of Business has organised high-end workshops on diverse management topics such as effective decision-making and negotiation techniques. The educational offering is completed by its unique MBA and General Management Program, a management certificate program. These programs are adapted to the lifestyle of busy professionals requiring flexibility and high-impact. The faculty delivering the programs are affiliated with some of the best business schools in the world – such as the University of Michigan, Duke, MIT, London Business School, University of St. Gallen, and more.

The first generation of Weekend-MBA students will start their studies at the Luxembourg School of Business on 11 September 2015. Classes take place every second weekend (Friday evening and full-day Saturday). Over a six semester curriculum participants will take their careers to the next level. They will develop a set of management tools, accelerate their decisionmaking, and learn from their peers. Some companies support their employees in pursuing the Weekend-MBA degree, since the knowledge and skills their employees bring back into the organisation increase their competitiveness.

Commencing on 9 October 2015, the Luxembourg School of Business is organising the General Management Program (GMP), in collaboration with the University of Michigan. This 10-day certificate program spreads over five consecutive weekends in October. Classes take place on Fridays and Saturdays. This program aims to enhance participants’ ability to manage with competence and purpose. The GMP provides a fresh approach to critical business issues and reinforces the manager’s position.
