Luxembourg Airport;

Luxembourg's Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs has confirmed that Luxembourg has amended the temporary restriction on non-essential travel into the Grand Duchy.

The list of third countries whose residents are not affected by a temporary restriction at the external borders on non-essential travel to the Grand Duchy has been updated, adding, with effect from 28 June 2021, Albania, the United States of America, Lebanon, the Republic of North Macedonia and Serbia to the list, as well as Taiwan. At the same time, non-essential travel from Hong Kong and Macao will now be possible without the need for reciprocity at European level.

Consequently, as of Monday 28 June 2021, third-country nationals residing in the above countries are again allowed to enter Luxembourg.
Proof of residence is the responsibility of the third-country national.

The updated list of third countries whose residents are authorised to enter the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg thus reads as follows: Albania, Australia, China (subject to confirmation of reciprocity at EU level), South Korea, United States of America, Israel, Japan, Lebanon, New Zealand, Republic of North Macedonia, Rwanda, Serbia, Singapore, Thailand plus Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.

The list applies only to travel by third-country nationals to the Grand Duchy and not to travel by residents of Luxembourg to the States, regions and entities in question.

Any person aged 6+, wishing to travel by air to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is required to present, before boarding a flight to Luxembourg, either a vaccination certificate, a recovery certificate or a negative COVID-19 test result (PCR, TMA or LAMP) carried out less than 72 hours before the flight or a rapid antigen test carried out less than 48 hours before the flight. The negative result of the test must be presented, if necessary, accompanied by a translation in one of the administrative languages of Luxembourg or in English, Italian, Spanish or Portuguese.

Additional sanitary measures are applicable until 30 June 2021 for the United Kingdom and until 15 July 2021 for India.
