Following recent developments in the COVID-19 pandemic, the General Directorate for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and the Chamber of Commerce have recommended that Luxembourg employees undertaking business trips abroad be equipped with proof of a negative COVID-19 test result which is less than 48 hours old.
Luxembourg companies having to travel abroad for urgent professional reasons are advised to provide their travelling employees with a certificate showing a negative COVID-19 test result issued at most 48 hours before arrival at their destination.
Companies can request free tests for their employees (travelling to countries that require presentation of a negative COVID-19 test) by sending the following information to the email address firstname.lastname@example.org: the name of the company, the country of destination, the date of the trip abroad (date of crossing the border), the number of employees taking part in the trip as well as the reasons for the trip and any supporting documents.
Upon receipt of this information, the company will receive by return email a unique code (per employee) and a personalised link for making an appointment online. The tests are free and take place by appointment from Monday to Saturday morning in one of the seventeen test stations across the country.
The deadline for transmission of results is 48 hours.
