On Sunday 19 April 2026, the British Ladies Club of Luxembourg (BLC) hosted the 32nd Car Boot Sale which for the first time took place at the covered car park (Parkhaus) of the Belle Etoile shopping centre in Bertrange.

Organised by the BLC committee, together with volunteers and community partners, the sale aimed to raise funds for local charities while bringing together the international community in Luxembourg.

Previously speaking with Chronicle.lu, BLC Chair Amy Grech said this year's Car Boot Sale moved to the new location due to ongoing tram works at last year’s Adenauer parking in Luxembourg-Kirchberg. She explained that the covered Parkhaus allowed the event to take place regardless of weather conditions and simplified logistics for both stallholders and visitors.

The other change made this year was the timing, as instead of following the traditional May date, the organisers chose April to avoid a busy month with multiple public events and holidays.

Around 80 stalls took part this year, with a mix of regular participants and new sellers, including both members and non-members.

During the Chronicle.lu visit at midday, the venue was fairly busy, with no queues and no overcrowding around the stalls. Some sellers operated directly from their car boots, while others used tables, hangers and shelves to display their items.

The selection included household goods, clothing, shoes, children’s toys, books, cosmetics, antique household wares and electronics, with prices ranging from €0.50 for a brand-new candle to over €100 for rarer items, depending on the seller.

The programme included a food stall run by Oasis Church, which offered hot meals, snacks and drinks, while a dedicated kids’ area provided activities for families. Alongside the sale, the Luxembourg MG Car Club presented a display of classic MG cars, and the BLC also operated its own stand selling donated household items, books and decorations.

Proceeds from stallholder fees and sales at the BLC stand supported KJT Kanner and Femmes en Détresse after covering event costs, continuing the event’s tradition of raising funds for selected charities each year.
