A peaceful gathering in solidarity with the Iranian people will take place on Saturday 17 January 2026 at 15:00 in front of the US Embassy in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg (Boulevard Emmanuel Servais).

This gathering is being organised in response to ongoing violence and human rights violations in Iran. Its stated aim is to raise public awareness, honour civilian victims and call for urgent international action to prevent further loss of human life.

According to the organisers, the choice of location is as symbolic. Participants intend to address a political and humanitarian appeal to the President of the United States, as a major international actor, urging the use of all available diplomatic and political means to contribute to the immediate protection of civilians in Iran.

The event forms part of a coordinated international mobilisation taking place on the same day in several countries, with Iranian citizens and their supporters planning similar gatherings in front of US embassies worldwide.

The organisers stressed that the gathering will be strictly peaceful and static, conducted in full compliance with public order regulations, applicable laws and in coordination with the relevant authorities.
