On Wednesday 31 December 2025, from 17:00, Ciné Utopia in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg, will broadcast live the Berliner Philharmoniker and their chief conductor, Kirill Petrenko’s, New Year’s Eve Concert.
According to the organisers, the concert will be broadcast live to around 300 cinemas across Europe and will feature French star tenor Benjamin Bernheim.
Described as “an emotional musical roller-coaster ride with music and arias from famous operas by composers such as Georges Bizet, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Charles Gounod”, the New Year’s Eve Concert will feature works such as Don José from Georges Bizet’s Carmen, Lenski from Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin, Jules Massenet’s Werther, Charles Gounod’s Romeo, Tchaikovsky’s fantasy overture to Romeo and Juliet, and music by Emmanuel Chabrier and George Gershwin.

The organisers have announced that attendees will be treated to a glass of crémant as a gift for the New Year.
