On Friday 18 July 2025, the "Plage" (beach) returned to Diekirch in northern Luxembourg, with a refreshed concept and design for the summer season.

Located behind the swimming pool on Rue Joseph Merten, the beach-themed site is open to the public from 18 July to 15 August 2025, Tuesday to Thursday and Sundays from 14:00 to 19:30 and Fridays and Saturdays from 14:00 to 21:00.

The new "D'Plage zu Dikrich" concept aims to offer visitors a lively outdoor space with a true holiday atmosphere.

The official opening on Friday evening featured a speech by Diekirch Mayor Charles "Charel" Weiler, joined by members of the College of Aldermen and local councillors. Following the ribbon cutting ceremony, the celebrations continued with a concert by Luxembourg indie folk-pop band Seed to Tree and a DJ set by DJ Skit. Visitors enjoyed food and drinks while relaxing on beach chairs, and took advantage of the beach volleyball court, outdoor swimming pool and photo booth.

This year's programme offers a variety of activities, including beach volleyball classes on Tuesdays, cocktail workshops on Thursdays, afterwork events with live music on Fridays and games (including petanque and spike ball) and concerts on Saturdays.

Children's events are also planned for weekends, such as a circus workshop on Saturday 26 July, face painting on Sunday 27 July and creative craft workshops on Sunday 10 August 2025.

Moreover, on Thursday 24 July 2025, the "Plage" will host the SNJ (National Youth Service) Summer Challenge, featuring an agility course, precision games and other challenges for young people aged seven to 21.
