Luxembourg community radio station Radio ARA has announced that its Crowdfunding Concert, A Lux Mini Fest, will take place at Rotondes in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie (Place des Rotondes) on Friday 30 May 2025; doors open at 17:00.
The concert will feature Luxembourgish artists, including blues artist, Kid Colling, rock duo, The Kools, electro-pop duo The X, African rhythm band Hembadoon and emo-rapper Maz Univerze.
The festival will include food trucks, including one from Lebanese restaurant Chiche!, a bar, a “History Wall” showcasing the more-than-30 years journey of Radio ARA, workshops and more. There will also be an opportunity to meet the station’s radio hosts, such as Erin (Breakfast Show), Céline (Bistro Show) and Romy (GraSiti), while DJ Evangelos will provide his “Unfamiliar Sounds” at the event. The main artists will take to the stage from 19:00 onwards.
Radio ARA is one of the oldest community-driven and independent radio stations in Luxembourg. It aims to offer a platform for voices and stories rarely heard in commercial media and champion new talents and diverse perspectives, with a focus on building bridges between Luxembourg’s different communities. The independent and non-commercial radio station receives some government funding but relies on additional community-based funding to grow, evolve and work in a sustainable way. A large part of their programme schedule is addressed to non-Luxembourgish speaking citizens living in the country.
Early bird tickets for the festival cost €26 and are available until 16:00 on Friday 30 May 2025, at https://apps.ticketmatic.com/widgets/cr/flow/rotondes?event=725981718617#!/addtickets. Tickets will cost €30 at the door.
