Traditional Mäertchen to Return to Place Guillaume II

The City of Luxembourg (Ville de Luxembourg - VdL) has confirmed that the "Mäertchen" (Octave market) will take place in Place Guillaume II from Friday 9 to Sunday 25 May 2025.

The market is returning to its traditional spot in Place Guillaume II after a few years of being relocated to Place de la Constitution due to construction works.

Visitors can expect about 50 food stalls, arranged around a central covered terrace, as well as game stalls and fairground attractions. The Mäertchen will be open daily from 11:00 to 22:00.

During the Octave period, the "Stater Maart" (city market), which usually takes place in Place Guillaume II on Wednesdays and Saturdays, will move to Place de la Constitution, notably on the following dates: 7, 10, 14, 17, 21, 24 and 28 May 2025 (07:30 to 14:00).
