From Saturday 5 to Saturday 19 April 2025, the Belval Plaza shopping centre in Esch-Belval is hosting a dinosaur-themed programme for the Easter holidays, transforming the space into a prehistoric park with various related activities.

More than a dozen dinosaur models are currently on display across the two floors of the shopping centre, including species such as Spinosaurus, Triceratops, Pteranodon, Coelophysis and Oviraptor. Some of the statues feature motion sensors, allowing them to move their necks and jaws in response to nearby visitors.

On the second floor, children can take part in a dinosaur egg hunt. A fixed excavation stand features a large sand pit where young participants can dig for buried dinosaur eggs. The challenge is to find ten eggs...

Activities include:

- life-sized dinosaur displays with educational insights;

- interactive workshops on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 14:00 to 18:00, where children can search for hidden eggs and learn about palaeontology;

- a prehistoric-themed riddle hunt throughout the centre, with prizes such as tickets to the "GONDWANA – Das Praehistorium" museum, cinema tickets with popcorn and entry to the Amnéville Zoo;

- photo opportunities with the event mascot “Belvalosaurus” on Saturdays 5 and 19 April from 14:00 to 18:00.

The event is open to families and aims to offer an engaging and educational experience during the school break.
