The 24th annual Duck Race is set to take place on Saturday 26 April 2025 on the River Alzette in Luxembourg city centre, with the start set for the Pont du Grund on Rue Munster in Luxembourg-Grund, with the finish line a few hundred metres downstream, at the footbridge crossing the river at the western end of the Rives de Clausen.

The event opens at 10:00 and is expected to finish at around 18:00, with the entertainment programme for children and adults and catering beginning at 12:00; the Duck Race itself set for a 15:00 start, with an estimated 16,000 rubber ducks being launched into the River Alzette for their annual race.

The Duck Race, a traditional event organised by the Luxembourg Round Table under the patronage of the City of Luxembourg, will take again place under the slogan “Green event”, including an “AntiGaspi” label.

Profits from the day are donated to charity, with eight projects identified this year, both within and outside Luxembourg.

Anyone wishing to support an altruistic project and participate in this charitable lottery can sponsor one or more ducks, available for pre-sale at the price of €5 on https://duckrace.lu/ or the same day on the Duck Race website. All ducks have a number that corresponds to a lottery ticket number. The "patrons" of the ducks who cross the finish line first will receive one of the many prizes offered by the sponsors, such as trips, vouchers, dinners and more. This year, the first prize is a Volkswagen Polo, with 35 prizes on offer in total.
