Luxembourg’s Science Fiction & Fantasy Society has announced details of the 2025 edition of LuxCon, which will take place on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 April 2025 at the Forum Geesseknäppchen in Luxembourg-Merl (40 Boulevard Pierre Dupong).

The organisers describe LuxCon as “a festival of the imagination” that will offer fans the opportunity to celebrate their favourite books, shows, games and films, among others. Approximately 5,000 visitors are expected at the weekend event.

Local, regional and international guests are expected to attend, including:

- Ursula Vernon, (also known as T. Kingfisher), fantasy, horror and romance writer:

- Kevin Sonney, host of the Productivity Alchemy podcast and voice of Rev. Mord on The Hidden Almanac Podcast;

- Marguerite Kenner, tech lawyer, co-showrunner on Escape Artists (an independently financed motion picture and television production company) and editor of the Cast of Wonders podcast;

- Alasdair Stuart, voice actor, writer and co-owner of Escape Artists;

- Robert Corvus, fantasy and sci-fi writer;

- Jason Durall, Chaosium's creative director for games such as RuneQuest and Basic Roleplaying. He has worked on TTRPG adaptations including Dune, Game of Thrones, The Lord of the Rings, Battlestar Galactica and Serenity;

Cosplayer guests include Orin Cosplay, Hiobsbotschaft, and Chouchoubaka. Cosplay photographer, Sid, will also be in attendance.

The organisers stated that the programme of events will include talks, discussions and readings. There will be exhibitions from artists, writers and artisans, as well as fan merchandise for sale, and also activities including geek karaoke, game demonstrations, geek quizzes and cosplay competitions, among others.

Food trucks will be available onsite.

Opening hours on Saturday 12 April are 10:00 to 19:00, but some events will remain open until 01:00. Opening hours on Sunday 13 April are 10:00 to 18:00.
