On Saturday 7 December 2024, the City of Luxembourg launched the "Winterkids" part of its festive "Winterlights" programme.
This year sees the return of the "Winterkids" Christmas market for children and families. The market will run on Place Guillaume II in Luxembourg-Ville from Saturday 7 to Sunday 29 December 2024 (closed on Mondays, plus Christmas Eve (24 December) and Christmas Day (25 December)). On the agenda are cooking and gift-making workshops, puppet theatre, singing and music shows, as well as reading sessions, all aimed at allowing children and parents to immerse themselves in a creative and friendly atmosphere. Activities are being organised in various languages, including English.
No reservation / prior registration needed (but participation subject to availability of places). Participation in the workshops is free and parents are requested to arrive with their children on site about fifteen minutes in advance.
In addition, Place Guillaume II will host an open fire and four chalets, including a gastronomic chalet.
Opening hours: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, from 15:00 to 18:00; Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 to 18:00.
