On Wednesday 26 June 2024, the association Wecitizens announced the launch of Mix'City Month at the Shaker, which will take place from 1 to 31 July 2024, at the Pop-Up Shaker (3 rue de Bonnevoie, L-1260) in Luxembourg-Gare.

This event is supported by Luxembourg’s Ministry of Family Affairs, Solidarity, Living Together and Reception of Refugees. It aims to create an inclusive space where the community can come together to celebrate diversity and fight against discrimination.

Mix'City Month will feature a series of cultural, educational and artistic events, focusing on a specific theme each week to promote coexistence and fight discrimination. The themes will be cultural diversity, gender equality, civic participation and engagement and living together. The programme includes interactive workshops, inspiring talks, film screenings, musical performances and open discussions.

"During our launch evening at Shaker à Impact Positif, many participants expressed the need for spaces for living together, sharing, and proximity," said Caroline Reviriot, Programme Director. "Mix'City Month addresses this need by providing a platform for dialogue and education on diversity and inclusion."
