The Spillfabrik, Social Gaming Luxembourg, Service Foyers Scolaires - CAPEL of Luxembourg city, IFEN and have announced details of Game On, a popular event for fans of games of all kinds, which will take place on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 October 2022 at the Rotondes in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie.

At this event, both young and old can (re)discover the pleasure of playing together; as a prelude to the weekend, the Educator’s Day evening on 13 October offers ways to integrate games into teaching (from 17:00 - 19:00).

The event welcomes lovers of board games, video games, role-playing games and offers ways to never lose the pleasure of playing. Many workshops are being organised throughout the weekend, for which prior registration is required (tel: 2662-2030, Tue-Fri from 13:30-18:30): this is particularly the case for the miniature figurine painting workshop, the introduction to Dungeons & Dragons and the escape game. Other events include a pub quiz and the Yu-Gi-Oh tournament.

"You don't necessarily go to a game festival with a competitive spirit," stated Jean-Claude Pellin of the Spillfabrik. “You can very well come to Game On simply to discover a wide range of (new) games. You can sit at a table, have a game explained to you and, if you don't like it, move on to the next activity."

In addition to game and sales stands, Game On will host information and education stands on various themes, such as digital learning or gambling addiction. Visitors will also be able to discover the works of illustrator Marco Armbruster, himself a fan of card and board games.

Game On is a true fun marathon that lasts from 14:00 to midnight on Saturday, and from 12:00 to 18:00 on Sunday. Admission is free.
