After a 2nd season successfully concluded in June 2021, the biggest esports competition in Luxembourg now offers a special edition: the POST Esports Masters have joined forces with the Automobile Club du Luxembourg (ACL) to offer an exclusive event dedicated exclusively to the Rocket League game.
Developed by Psyonix, the Rocket League game is an original mix of football and car racing: driving vehicles, teams compete in a football match in order to kick a ball and to score goals. The cars are equipped with thrusters (boost) and can jump, allowing to play the ball in the air. Available on consoles and PCs, this game has been a resounding success around the world for several years. Also very popular in Luxembourg, more and more tournaments are dedicated to it to meet a growing demand from gamers.
The "Rocket League Special Cup" tournament will offer a total of €2,500 in winnings for the best teams. A special prize will be reserved for the best player in the competition (MVP).
The tournament will take place exclusively online and will be held in 2 stages:
- The qualifying phase on 18 September 2021
- The final on 25 September 2021
The competition will also be commented on and broadcast live on Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/postesportsmasters).
The event is open to all residents of Luxembourg and the Greater Region, within a limit of 32 teams of 3 players maximum. Registrations are already open online at www.postesportsmasters.lu and will close on 15 September 2021.
