The Natur- & Geopark Mëllerdall (Mullerthal) has announced details of its 2021 Geosite-Hopping Competition.
The initiative has been introduced to encourage people to discover geologically interesting places in the region and have the chance to win a grand prize. In each of the 11 member municipalities, a bus shelter has been decorated with a design representing a geosite of the municipality in question. They were made by artist Alan Johnston and are now intended to encourage people to take a look at the different sites in reality. On the site www.naturpark-mellerdall.lu, one can find a general map showing the locations of the bus shelters and the associated geosites.
Anyone can take part in the action by doing the following:
1. Take a photo of yourself in front of one of the bus shelters in the area.
2. Take a photo of yourself at the corresponding geosite.
3. Post the photos on social media before 15 September using #mellerdallgoesunesco or send your photos to email: contest@naturpark.lu.
The top prize to be won is an exciting discovery tour of the Natur- & Geopark Mëllerdall for a maximum of 8 people with explore.lu. The winner can choose all the points of the programme themselves.
