The Luxembourg Presidency of QuattroPole has just launched its summer programme for the four cities of Luxembourg, Metz, Saarbrücken and Trier.
Developed around the theme "Discovering our four cities", the activities offered this summer will be presented throughout the summer on the QuattroPole website: quattropole.org. Proposed activities include a tasty weekend along the “Route gourmande”, a bike tour around the border region or a longer cultural stay.
In its effort to promote soft mobility, QuattroPole is also providing a bicycle tourism map for those wishing to enjoy the summer on two wheels. This map contains detailed information on six partly cross-border cycle routes. The associated practical bike guide will facilitate trips in the four QuattroPole cities.
For those who do not yet have a bicycle or who would like to switch to an electric bicycle, Quattropole is organising a lottery from 3 to 15 August 2021 on its Facebook and Instagram accounts. All information is available on QuattroPole's website and social networks. Four folding electric bikes are up for grabs.
The Dumont tourist guide, which is the result of close collaboration between the four cities, is also available, offering QuattroPole residents and visitors tips on what to discover over the curse of a weekend, week or summer in the region. Those wishing to get a copy (free of charge by post) should send their request to the QuattroPole General Secretariat via email: info-quattropole@granderegion.net.
Also on the agenda this summer is the "QuattroPop" music festival which will be held in Trier on 3 and 4 September 2021 and which will bring together fans of pop music and artists from the greater region.
QuattroPole's autumn program, which centres around local gastronomy, will be unveiled at the end of the summer.
QuattroPole is a cross-border network of cities between Luxembourg, Metz, Saarbrücken and Trier working towards formulating shared strategic policies to increase their visibility on the European stage.
