The ageing information centre, RBS - Center fir Altersfroen asbl, is organising an information weekend dedicated to the topic of "being and staying active at all ages" at the Belle Etoile shopping centre in Bertrange this weekend.
The purpose of "RBS - Aktiv Deeg" (RBS - active days), which will take place on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 July 2021, is to present the public with an extensive range of offers for older people which allow and encourage them to learn new things, stay in shape or volunteer.
At the various stands, visitors can not only learn about the wide range of offers across the Grand Duchy, but also get advice, for example on the activities of the Agence du Bénévolat (volunteer agency), the Life-Long-Learning Center programme of the Chamber of Employees (Chambre des Salariés), the "Super Senior" initiative of the Mouvement pour l’égalité des chances pour tous asbl (movement for equal opportunities for all), "Gaart an Heem" and the "Seniorsécherheetsberoder" (volunteers who offer safety advice to older people).
In addition, the "Clubs Seniors", the Department of Senior Services (Service Seniors) of the City of Luxembourg, the Maison des Associations and the RBS - Center fir Altersfroen will present themselves.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to enter a competition to win a stay for two people at the Hotel Bel-Air, Sport & Wellness in Echternach, as well as a series of books "Eis fofzeger Joren" (our fifties), the RBS games "Rot emol" (guess what) and a €50 gift voucher for Freelander's Sports.
The RBS Activ Deeg will take place at the Belle Etoile (Place Tango, Hobbi entrance) in Bertrange on 16 and 17 July from 10:00 to 18:00. A second edition is scheduled for 19 and 20 November 2021, again from 10:00 to 18:00, at the Massen shopping centre in Wemperhardt.
