Bee Together Luxembourg, a group of volunteers whose mission is to raise awareness of the importance of pollinators and biodiversity, has announced that it is organising, together with natur&ëmwelt Kanton Réimech, an event to identify insects in the Scheierbierg area on Sunday 18 July 2021.
Using the iNaturalist app on their smartphones, participants will take photos, upload them and use them to identify the family and / or species of insects and plants that they encounter during the excursion. A guide (Fernand Feitz) will explain their lifecycle and what actions can be taken to improve their sources of food and habitat.
As the activity of insects is very weather dependent, the date and time of the event is subject to change. In the case of poor weather conditions, the event will be rescheduled.
The exact meeting place on the national road N16 will be sent to those who register on or before 15 July 2021.
