LUCA - Luxembourg Center for Architecture has announced various outdoor activities within the framework of this year's European Heritage Days; the events will take place between 25 September and 4 October 2020.

LUCA will first run an "Urban Discovery Tour", in English and Luxembourgish, from 25 September to 4 October 2020. This family-friendly adventure enables participants to discover Luxembourg City's many 20th- and 21st-century architectural highlights along an approximately nine-kilometre geocaching trail. To identify the route, all that is needed is a smartphone and lots of curiosity. Download the official Geocaching app and select the LUCA multicache. Go to the different stops of the route and collect clues by answering questions and carefully observing your surroundings to unlock the final treasure. This activity is free for children of all ages (accompanied by an adult).

On 26 September and 3 October, LUCA will hold "Urban (Heritage) Sketching" sessions. LUCA and the volunteering architects Arnaud De Meyer, Jean-Paul Carvalho and Mauro Doro will guide participants for two sketching sessions, as they draw some architecture treasures. The first session will be held in Limpertsberg on 26 September from 14:00 to 16:30, whilst the second will take place in Ellergronn on 3 October from 14:00 to 16:30. These free activities, held in English, Luxembourgish, French and German, are suitable for all levels and ages (children must be accompanied by an adult). Online registration in advance is mandatory, with the number of participants limited to a maximum of 20 per session. Participants should bring their own masks and respect social distancing.
