On Wednesday 20 May 2020, the Board of Directors of Esch2022 met regarding the decision of Christian Mosar to leave his position as artistic director of the European Capital of Culture Esch2022, with immediate effect.
It is understood that the decision was reached by mutual agreement. Christian Mosar took office on 1 December 2018 when he succeeded Janina Strötgen in the role.
The team in charge of cultural programming, led by Françoise Poos, is responsible for the development and implementation of the programme. In addition, the team is reinforced thanks to the support of external partners, especially employees of the Cultural Service of municipalities, as well as of the project leaders.
