On Tuesday 21 January 2025, the ITF World Tour Luxembourg Open at the Centre National de Tennis (CNT) in Esch-sur-Alzette confirmed all main draw matchups for both men and women, with the tournament featuring a prize fund of $60,000.
The qualifying rounds, held on Sunday 19 January and Monday 20 January 2025, determined the final players to complete the 32-participant line-up for the first round of the Luxembourg Open. Among the men, France boasts the largest representation with eight players, including qualifiers Antoine Vincent and Francois Musitelli.
Luxembourg’s Chris Rodesch (No. 286th ATP ranking), the top seed in the men’s draw, will face France’s Kenny De Schepper (No. 652th ATP ranking) in the opening round. Fellow Luxembourg national team player Alex Knaff (No. 723th ATP ranking) is set to compete against Alexandre Reco (No. 784th ATP ranking) from France. One of the standout first-round matchups pairs is Norway’s Viktor Durasovic (No. 289th ATP ranking) with Estonia’s Daniil Glinka (No. 495th ATP ranking). Additionally, Sweden’s Mikael Ymer, a former Top 50 ATP player, will take on Estonia’s nineteen-year-old Markus Molder (No. 1112th ATP ranking).
In the women’s draw, top seed Carlota Martinez Cirez of Spain (No. 227th WTA ranking) will face Belgium’s Yanina Wickmayer, a former world No. 12, in her first-round match. Slovakia’s Viktoria Hruncakova (No. 236th WTA ranking), seeded second, is set to play against Amandine Monnot (No. 504th WTA ranking). Luxembourg’s sole representative in the women’s draw, 21-year-old Marie Weckerle (No. 542th WTA ranking), returning from an injury sustained in October 2024, will compete against Austria’s Tamara Kostic (No. 532th WTA ranking) in the first round.
The doubles final and singles semi-finals will take place on Saturday 25 January 2025 at the CNT, with the men's and women's singles finals scheduled for Sunday 26 January 2025. Admission for spectators is free.
