On Monday 2 February 2026, open digital infrastructure provider Eurofiber announced the acquisition of LuxNetwork, a Luxembourg-based business-to-business (B2B) connectivity provider.

According to the two companies, this acquisition strengthens Eurofiber's position in the Benelux and supports its long-term European growth strategy centred on open access digital infrastructure, while reinforcing Luxembourg's role as a key European connectivity hub.

Founded in 2012, LuxNetwork has established itself as a trusted provider of business-critical connectivity services. From its base in Bettembourg (Luxembourg), the company delivers high-capacity international fibre connections linking Luxembourg to major European cities including Frankfurt, Brussels, Paris and Amsterdam, as well as local Internet and Ethernet services. Following the acquisition, LuxNetwork and its team will be fully integrated into Eurofiber's Belgium organisation.

Over the years, LuxNetwork has invested in a robust and modern fiber infrastructure. Its international backbone is powered by a recently deployed 400G ready DWDM network, reportedly enabling the transport of very large data volumes over fibre optics and ensuring fast, secure and reliable connectivity for data-intensive and mission-critical applications.

By acquiring LuxNetwork, Eurofiber further densifies its open access digital infrastructure and strengthens cross-border interconnections, according to the companies.

Commenting on the acquisition, Hans Witdouck, CEO of Eurofiber Belgium, said: "LuxNetwork's high-capacity DWDM network significantly strengthens our international footprint. With this, we broaden our open-access connectivity footprint, benefiting key customer groups such as financial institutions, media, tech and hyperscalers. It enables us to deliver highly reliable and secure connectivity to organisations across Europe, while continuing to invest locally in Luxembourg. Local customers will continue to benefit from dedicated support from the Luxembourg office."

For LuxNetwork, joining Eurofiber reportedly builds on the company's strengths while preserving what has underpinned its success. Luc Lutot, CEO and founder of LuxNetwork, said: "Becoming part of Eurofiber represents a natural next step in LuxNetwork's development over recent years, enabling us to expand our expertise, meet growing demand for high-capacity connectivity, and become one of Europe's major players." He added: "It also recognises the work done by our team over the years. Their expertise, commitment and proximity to customers are at the heart of our success and will remain unchanged as we move forward together."
