Deloitte Luxembourg has reported that since 1 September, it has welcomed some 250 new recruits to its audit, tax and advisory and consulting business functions.
These new young talents joined Deloitte Luxembourg through the fifth consecutive edition of its week-long intensive induction programme, allowing new graduates to have a first contact with the firm and their new colleagues.
The induction week provided, as usual, business-oriented and technical training courses, teambuilding activities as well as soft skill trainings, but this year featured the inaugural attendance of Deloitte Luxembourg's Managing Partner, Yves Francis, as well as Talent Leader, Benjamin Collette, during the first days.
"Attracting new and qualified talents from many different countries is a priority for our firm, as our people make the difference," commented Benjamin Collette. "That is why we continously invest in our talents and help them grow personally, professionally and together as a team".
"In order to prepare for the challenges that our consultants, tax experts and auditors have to face on a daily basis, it is key to first provide them with effective training and necessary tools as well as connect them to our firm's network of industry experts," continued Yves Francis. "It was important for Benjamin and myself to be present in this crucial phase, welcoming the new recruits and accompanying their first steps within our firm".
Deloitte Luxembourg offers technical certifications and sponsors professional qualifications across its main functions as a way of stimulating an environment of constant learning opportunities. Over 72,000 hours of training were reportedly organised and delivered in the last 12 months, with the firm proposing other learning possibilities through knowledge-sharing initiatives as well as internal and international mobility programmes. This aims to allow staff to broaden their horizons by moving to a different department or country.
