On Friday 25 October 2024, Luxembourg's Ministry of Home Affairs announced the launch of a public opinion survey about the new "LU-Alert" alert and information system.
Following the launch of this public warning and information system on Thursday 17 October 2024 and the test week that took place from 17 to 24 October 2024, the Ministry of Home Affairs is inviting the public to participate in a survey on the tests carried out over this period.
During these tests, three different alert channels of the new LU-Alert system were tested and test alert messages were sent via these channels to the general public.
The alert channels tested throughout Luxembourg were as follows:
- Location-based SMS on Friday 18 and Thursday 24 October 2024;
- Cell Broadcast as of Tuesday 22 October 2024;
- the new LU-Alert mobile application as of Thursday 24 October 2024.
By participating in the survey, the public can share their experience with the ministry and help the authorities evaluate the progress of the tests.
The survey is accessible, until Friday 1 November 2024, in Luxembourgish, German, English and French via the following link https://etat.emfro.lu/s3/Sondage-d-opinion-LU-Alert-2024.
