To mark the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence, Eurasian Resources Group (ERG), a leading diversified natural resources group headquartered in Luxembourg, will organise a screening of the Kazakh film "Horse thieves. The Roads of Time", as part of the Kazakh Film Festival in Europe.

The screening and festival are hosted in conjunction with the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Belgium and Luxembourg and the Association of Kazakh Cinema in Paris. This year, the festival is being extended across three countries: France, Belgium and Luxembourg.

The screening of "Horse thieves. Roads of Time" will be held as a CovidCheck event in Luxembourg (in original language with French subtitles) at Kinepolis Kirchberg on Wednesday 15 December 2021 at 19:00. Kazakh actress Samal Yeslyamova, who plays the leading role in the film, is expected to attend this screening.

"Horse thieves. Roads of Time" is a Kazakhstan-Japan co-production directed by Yerlan Nurmukhambetov and Liza Takeba and tells the story of a Kazakh family, whose peaceful life collapses when a gang of horse thieves kill the father and his herd of horses is driven away.

The film premiered in 2019 and opened the 24th Busan International Film Festival.
