On Saturday 25 July 2026, Luxembourg-based hospitality group Mansogroup officially opened new restaurant Terra Steakhouse Belval, marking a €2.5 million investment that included the company's first restaurant property acquisition.

The new restaurant, located beside the Belval Hauts Fourneaux, becomes the group's second Terra Steakhouse and its thirteenth restaurant.

According to Mansogroup, the investment reflects the area's continued development and confidence in Belval's future. The new restaurant has created around 20 new jobs and is expected to benefit from the district's growing hotel capacity and major events at the nearby Rockhal.

Yannis Xydias, Co-Founder and Director said: "We have been following the district's evolution for more than a decade. We deliberately waited until it reached the right balance of residential development, employment, culture and business activity. Today, we believe the district has reached that level of maturity." He added: "Belval is a self-made place. We are a self-made company."

Mansogroup explained that it had explored opportunities in Belval for more than a decade before deciding to invest once the district had developed into one of Luxembourg's major urban hubs, home to the University of Luxembourg (Uni.lu), international research centres, offices, hotels and the Rockhal.

Situated beside the historic Hauts Fourneaux, Terra Steakhouse occupies what the company described as a landmark dining location.

"We always build for the future rather than for today's market," explained Yannis Xydias. "A premium concept can become an anchor for a neighbourhood if it offers genuine quality and value."

The company described its expansion strategy as an "anti-chain" approach, explaining that it develops restaurant concepts around each location rather than adapting locations to fit an existing concept.

According to Mansogroup, Terra Steakhouse combines carefully sourced meats, dry-aged cuts and a contemporary atmosphere. The restaurant caters to business professionals, residents, researchers, concert-goers and cross-border visitors throughout the week. It operates daily with continuous kitchen service and extends its opening hours on major Rockhal event nights.

The Belval opening follows the recent launch of Azur in Luxembourg-Kirchberg. Mansogroup said it continues to grow through carefully selected opportunities rather than rapid expansion, despite inflation and rising operating costs. The company added that it remains focused on maintaining quality and creating restaurants that encourage customers to return.

Head Chef in Terra Steakhouse, Manuel Barra, also highlighted the restaurant's culinary philosophy. He said: "Everything starts with the product, we only work with premium meats that meet our quality standards. Great steak doesn't need unnecessary complexity - it requires outstanding ingredients, technical precision and consistency."

According to Mansogroup, the Belval restaurant follows the same menu and operational standards as Terra Steakhouse Kirchberg.

Looking ahead, Co-Founder and Director Rémy Manso described the opening as another milestone for the company. He said: "Every Terra Steakhouse is part of our family's story. My father and I opened Chimi Churri together, and Terra Steakhouse Kirchberg evolved from that shared vision. Following the success of Terra Steakhouse Kirchberg, which has welcomed over 250,000 guests since opening in 2023, we felt the time was right to open a second Terra Steakhouse - in the first property we have ever owned. It is both a professional and a personal milestone. I believe my father would be proud to see this new chapter."
