On Friday 23 May 2025, the Luxembourg Veterinary and Food Administration (ALVA) announced the recall of Mucci brand Ice Cream Cups due to the possible presence of glass-like foreign bodies.
The following products have been recalled: Italian ice cream cups, 2 pieces, Nocciola & Triple chocolate, 2x180g, with the barcodes: 4068261045624 (Nocciola) and 4068261045617 (Triple chocolate); use by date: 24/02/2027; lot number: LF055. The products were sold between 10 March and 22 May 2025.
The products have been on sale in Luxembourg via Aldi stores (sales by other operators cannot be excluded).
There is currently an orange awareness level alert in place (i.e. medium risk/danger).
ALVA warned that, if ingested, foreign bodies such as glass pose a risk of suffocation or internal injuries.
