On Thursday 15 May 2025, the official inauguration of the new pop-up boutique, Maison Album, took place in Luxembourg-Ville.

The vision behind the boutique, that initially opened its doors on Friday 2 May 2025, is that of “ethical luxury and carefully chosen pieces…built on responsible consumption, quality, aesthetics, personal advice, style and meaningful synergies”.

Speaking to Chronicle.lu, Nathalie Meier, founder and owner of Maison Album, explained that during the COVID-19 pandemic, she decided to follow her dream of opening a boutique, based on her values and vision of eco-responsibility i.e. embracing timeless pieces rather than fast fashion. She subsequently opened her first boutique in Dudelange, before meeting Katia Kouici, founder of Kid's Corner Papillons, a concept store also based on eco-responsibility that sold wooden and educational toys, but eschewed plastic. Together they created Maison Album.

Nathalie Meier approached First Alderman of the City of Luxembourg, Maurice Bauer, with a view to moving Maison Album to Luxembourg City. Thanks to his input, they now have the opportunity to run their pop-up shop for a period of eleven months in Rue des Capucins. Nathalie Meier is already speaking of prolonging that time and is negotiating to do so with the shop owner.

The shop features a mix of pre-loved and new items, including clothes, shoes, tableware as well as gift ideas for adults and children, “to be enjoyed with a good coffee or tea, a book or enriching conversations”.
