The City of Luxembourg has announced that it has set up an emergency helpline for residents affected by the floods in various districts of the capital.

Following the heavy rainfall which led to flooding across Luxembourg City, the College of the Mayor and Aldermen met urgently this morning to set up a support system for residents of affected areas.

An emergency helpline is now operational for affected residents of Luxembourg City and can be accessed via tel.: 4796-4796 (Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 12:00 and 13:00 - 17:00).

The College of the Mayor and Aldermen confirmed that it has visited the most affected districts and is closely monitoring the situation.

Public Transport

The City of Luxembourg also warned of disruptions to the city bus network (AVL) due to the flooding. Disruptions and delays have particularly affected lines 3, 4, 10, 11, 21, 23, 25 and 26. Detours are being put in place where necessary.
