Rugby Club Luxembourg (RCL) has announced that it will host the fourth edition of its Rugby Ladies Day from 10:00 to 13:00 on Saturday 25 April 2026 at the Boy Konen sports fields in Luxembourg-Cessange (279 Rue des Sports).

For the fourth consecutive year, the club is organising this event aimed at encouraging female participation in rugby and promoting an inclusive sporting environment. The event will once again take place in the presence of Yuriko Backes, Luxembourg’s Minister of Defence, Gender Equality and Diversity, as well as Jean-François Boulot, Luxembourg Rugby President, Nick Frank, President of the Luxembourg Touch Federation, and Giulia Iannucci, President of Rugby Club Luxembourg.

According to RCL, Rugby Ladies Day serves as an opportunity to highlight inclusivity, diversity and gender equality in sport. The event is open to girls and women aged six and above, regardless of experience, and aims to provide a welcoming space to discover rugby, share enthusiasm for the sport and inspire future generations of players.

Participants can expect a range of activities, including touch and contact rugby stations designed to introduce the sport in a safe and enjoyable environment.

RCL noted that previous editions brought together more than 70 participants aged between seven and 60, underlining the growing interest in women’s rugby in Luxembourg.

Rugby Ladies Day also aims to bring together players, coaches and supporters from diverse backgrounds, helping to break down barriers and promote a more inclusive and equitable future for the sport.
