Luxembourg Rugby Team Faces Decisive Match Against Slovenia

The Luxembourg Rugby Federation (FLR) has announced that a pivotal rugby match is set to take place between Slovenia and Luxembourg’s national team.

Luxembourg’s promotion to the top 20 in Rugby Europe hinges on this match, which will take place on Saturday 20 April 2024 from 18:00 at the Stade de Luxembourg (100 Bd de Kockelscheuer, Luxembourg-Gasperich). 

A victory would secure Luxembourg’s place in the Conference Promotion final. The opponent for this final depends on the outcomes of other group matches in the Conference. Nevertheless, a triumph in that final would elevate Luxembourg into the top twenty rugby nations in Europe, FLR noted.

With the match against Slovenia, Luxembourg has a real chance to progress, after an “excellent start” with rugby sevens at the games of the small states of Europe last summer, FLR added.
