On Friday 29 March 2024, the Luxembourg Rugby Federation (FLR) announced an international rugby match set to take place between Luxembourg’s national men’s team and the Hungarian team on Saturday 6 April 2024 in Budapest.
The Luxembourg national men’s rugby team is currently leading Pool B in Rugby Europe’s Men Conference 2023-24, as they won two out of four games played.
Nevertheless, FLR noted this will not be an easy game – despite a previous victory against Hungary, changes within the Luxembourg team (including retirements, injuries and players studying abroad) add an element of uncertainty. However, having undergone “focused preparation” and a three-day training camp in February, the team noted it was determined to bring home another victory for Luxembourg.

The next home game will be against Slovenia, set to take place on 20 April 2024 at the Stade de Luxembourg in Luxembourg-Gasperich.
